Welcome to The Golden Apple
The Golden Apple began with a simple love of beautiful things — the kind of things that make a house feel like home, a garden more inviting, and everyday country life a little more special.
I have always loved finding things.
A beautiful piece of pottery tucked away in a little shop. An old-fashioned garden basket. Soft linen, worn leather, a country blanket, something beautifully made and wonderfully useful. Often, it is the things with a little character — rather than the perfect or the newest — that catch my eye.
The Golden Apple is my collection of those discoveries.
Inspired by the English country house, the French farmhouse and the relaxed charm of the Canadian cottage, it is a place for things that feel timeless, practical and beautiful. Things that can be lived with, used, enjoyed and, hopefully, loved for years to come.
I don't want The Golden Apple to feel like a shop filled with things simply for the sake of having more.
I want it to feel curated.
Every piece has to earn its place.
I ask myself:
Would I have this in my own home?
Would I use it?
Does it have character?
Is it beautifully made?
Would I still love it next year?
If the answer is yes, it might just find its way to The Golden Apple.
A little bit of everywhere
My inspiration comes from many places.
The timelessness of an English country home.
The relaxed simplicity of a French farmhouse.
The warmth and outdoorsy spirit of a Canadian cottage.
And the practicality and beauty of life here in New Zealand.
I love the idea that our homes don't have to be perfect. They should tell our stories — collected gradually, filled with things we love, and made comfortable enough to actually live in.
That is the feeling I want to create here.
More than a shop
The Golden Apple is my little corner of the country life.

Some pieces will be familiar.
